Aktivunterhaltung is about getting out in nature, getting a little exercise and having a little laugh. It is really no different from going for a jog with a friend. You chat, you tell a funny story, and forget you’re even running, until you both end up breathless, from laughter just as much as from the run itself.

To prepare for that, you need to concentrate on yourself first. Especially on your breathing.
Only then should you follow where the comedian leads you. As, if you stumble, it is your breath that will make you regain control.
But also get a feeling for your jogging rhythm. That’s your base, the foundation you return to when the laughter starts to throw you off.
Once you’ve done that, you are ready to shift your attention away from yourself and onto the story the comedian is telling you.
Kind of like a strategy to distract yourself from the dull labor of jogging.

Aktivunterhaltung is just a little of a different concept, where the entertainment is provided by a professional comedian that is chauffeurt in front of you, standing on a custom-built trailer, being pulled by a cyclist.
But unlike jogging with a friend, laughter is a deliberate part of Aktivunterhaltung. It’s a hurdle that begins in your mind, in the shape of a joke.
The comedian throws it out in front of you like an invisible obstacle. They might even pretend it was never there. But as your breath stumbles and your abs tense up, the hurdle becomes as physical as it gets.
